The procedure typically takes 1 hour, from the time you enter our office to the time you leave. Using the results from your ultrasound appointment, Dr. Kim identifies the damaged veins that need to be treated. Local anesthesia is used through a single injection. A small catheter is inserted into the damaged vein and sealed with the medical adhesive.
